That $15 pipe clamp from Harbor Freight nearly ruined my biggest project yet
Bought one of those cheap squeeze clamps to hold a gate hinge in place, and it snapped mid-weld sending the whole assembly crashing onto my foot. Anyone else have a cheap tool fail at the worst possible moment?

Those clamps with the plastic handles are notorious for cracking under heat or pressure... what kind of load were you putting on it when it let go? I've had the same thing happen with a cheap C-clamp that snapped the screw right at the worst moment of a cabinet build.

That exact same thing happened to me last year with a trigger clamp.
