Watched an old smith at the Kutztown fair fold a wrought iron scroll in 2003 and quit fighting my metal after that
He kept saying to work it at the heat it wants, not the heat I wanted, and I sat there watching him for an hour before it clicked. Now I dont force a bend that wont go, but what temp do you all actually hold your scrolls at for a clean curve?

Learned to pull my scrolls around a low orange glow, not bright yellow.
