Am I the only one who thought 'The Dark Tower' movie was a total letdown?
I finally read Stephen King's The Dark Tower series last summer and got SO into it. The world building and Roland's character were just incredible. Then I watched the movie last week and I couldn't believe how much they changed. They crammed seven books into 90 minutes and left out all the good stuff. Did anyone else feel like the movie missed the whole point?

My copy of The Gunslinger had this weird coffee stain on page 47 from when I read it at a diner in Nashville. I remember thinking Roland crossing the desert felt so lonely and perfect. Then in the movie they have him in a city with skyscrapers and it just didn't feel right. Idk maybe it's just me but that opening scene set the wrong tone for everything after.
