Appreciation post: My niece said the 'Hunger Games' movies were 'old' and it made me realize how long it's been since we all read the books together.
I rewatched the first film this weekend and was struck by how the casting for Katniss and Peeta felt so perfectly matched to the characters in my head back in 2012, something I think newer adaptations often rush.

Wait, 2012 is old now? Guess I should start telling people my phone from 2018 is a VINTAGE collectible. Everything's ancient if you scroll past it, apparently.
