Dropped $40 on the audiobook of Dune before realizing I'd rather just reread the paperback
I bought the full cast audiobook of Dune on Audible for $40 last month thinking it would be a fun way to get through the book again, but the narration kept pulling me out of the story every time the voices switched. I made it about 4 hours in before giving up and grabbing my old paperback off the shelf. Turns out for me, sci-fi with made up words just works better when I can see them on the page. Has anyone else bailed on a pricey audiobook for a book they already love?
