Dune's latest screen version got it right after the old one

I read the book as a teen and the 1980s film was too fast and left out a lot. The new one is slower and keeps the book's big ideas and strange worlds. It even added a scene that made the ending clearer for me. After so many misses, this feels like a real win.

Was it the extra shot of the empty chair? I read a comment that said it showed the main guy was alone all along. That fixed the confusing part for me.
