I paid $28 for the audiobook of a thriller I already owned, and the movie made me regret it
Last month I bought the audiobook of The Girl on the Train for a long drive to Cleveland, forgetting I had the paperback on my shelf the whole time. Then I watched the movie on a hotel TV and it cut out the best part of the book, the unreliable narrator stuff that made the story work. Has anyone else double paid for a story they already owned just because a movie or show got them interested again?
