Just counted and I've seen 47 book-to-movie adaptations this year

I started keeping a list back in January because I got curious how many I actually watch. Turns out it's 47 so far, with about 20 of those being ones where I read the book first. The biggest surprise was that I preferred the movie version for 8 of those, which I honestly didn't expect. Has anyone else kept count of their own adaptation viewing habits?

Count em if you want but 47 movies is a lot of time spent watching adaptations when you could just watch something new. Honestly not everything has to be tracked like it's a competition or a life achievement.

You said "not everything has to be tracked like it's a competition" and I get that. I read somewhere that people who track their media habits often do it just to remember what they watched, not to flex on anyone. But yeah 47 is a lot when you could be watching stuff that isn't based on a book or comic for once.
