Rant: The Witcher show butchered my favorite book arc

I rewatched season 2 of The Witcher and they turned the whole Thanedd coup setup into a rushed mess, no build up, no stakes. The books spent 200 pages making that betrayal sting, the show just threw it in a blender. Anyone else get furious when a screen version skips the quiet moments that made the book version better?
