Spent $80 on the new Dune Blu-ray and it made me mad
Honestly, I bought it thinking the visuals would be worth it, but they cut so much from the book. The whole subplot with the dinner scene and the political stuff is just gone. For that price, I wanted the full story, not just the pretty shots. Anyone else feel like big movies just skip the best parts of the book to save time?

Yeah, the dinner scene is a huge miss. It's not just about politics, it's where you see how everyone in that room is playing their own game. What about all the stuff with the weirding way? The movie makes it just a sound weapon, but in the book it's this whole mental and physical training. Feels like they traded the deeper ideas for simpler action.
