Why does everyone forget the book's ending when they review the movie?

I noticed on Goodreads that people keep saying the *Dark Matter* show fixed the book's weak parts, but the ending is almost identical. Did they actually read the last 20 pages or just skim it? Has anyone else caught this with other adaptations?

Bro, people definitely just skimmed the last chapter and called it a day. I swear half the reviews out there are just copy-pasted from the first impression they got in chapter three. At this point, I'm convinced nobody actually reads endings, they just assume they know how it went.

@daniel214 It's not that deep, man. People skim stuff all the time, it's just how the internet works now. You're acting like this is some crime against literature when really it's just lazy readers being lazy.
