Warning: I thought those single wall titanium mugs were a dumb trend for years
For the longest time, I stuck with my old reliable enamel mug from a thrift store. I figured a $50 titanium cup was just for people who wanted to show off. Then, on a five day trip in the White Mountains last fall, my friend brought one. I saw him boil water right in it over his stove, drink his coffee, and then pack it away without a second thought. No handle to burn, it weighed nothing, and it didn't hold smells. I borrowed it one morning and the heat spread was so even my coffee didn't get that weird burnt taste. I finally bought one myself, a 450ml model, and it's the only cup I pack now. Has anyone else had a piece of gear they wrote off for way too long?
