Ditching my $200 sleeping pad for a $20 foam one was the best move I made all year
I bought into the hype of those fancy inflatable pads and spent nights waking up with a flat spot under my hips every 3 hours. After a trip to Shenandoah last fall where my pump broke on day one, I grabbed a cheap closed cell foam pad from Walmart as a backup. That thing never failed, never leaked, and honestly I slept better on it because I wasn't worried about punctures. Has anyone else gone back to the basics and actually liked it more?

My buddy Gary bought one of those three-inch thick ones and his girlfriend still complained about the hard floor. Guess some people just have tough standards.
