Hit 100 nights in my tent this year and my back is surprisingly fine
So I keep a little tally in my camping journal and last week I realized I crossed 100 nights sleeping in my tent for 2024. That's way more than I expected since I only camped maybe 30 times total before this year lol. I honestly thought my old air pad would give out by night 50 but the thing just keeps going. What's the longest stretch of nights you guys have logged in a single season?

The 100 night mark is awesome, my old air pad held up way longer than I expected too... I just kept adding a bit of extra air before bed and it worked fine.

Oh man, that extra air trick is something I've done way too many times myself. It's like you know it's on its last legs but you just keep adding a few breaths each night hoping it'll hold a little longer. There's something kind of sad about watching it slowly deflate through the night though, waking up with your hips on the ground. Glad I'm not the only one who stretches that last bit of life out of an old pad.

You ever wake up with your hip bone grinding into the dirt like that? Buddy of mine had an old Therm-a-Rest that was basically a pancake by month three. He'd blow it back up every night, wake up on the ground, repeat. One morning he was so fed up he just chucked it into the woods. Found it three days later still half inflated, just sitting there in the leaves. Felt like that pad was mocking him.
