Pro tip: Ditch single-use camp stoves for a refillable model
I always bought disposable propane stoves for my trips. They seemed handy, but I ignored the trash they create. Seeing a bunch of empty canisters left behind at a site changed my view. I got a refillable liquid fuel stove instead. It cost more at the start, but it still works after two years. I just add fuel from a large bottle, so there is less plastic waste. This small change helps the environment and works better for me.

Honestly that reminds me of my old tent that somehow survived like ten years of abuse. Tbh decent gear just doesn't die if you take half decent care of it. Makes you realize buying the cheap stuff over and over is kind of a scam.

My hiking boots from 2015 are still going strong after weekly use. Just clean and dry them properly after each trip. Why would you keep buying junk that breaks in a season?

Man I was just reading about how some companies literally design stuff to break sooner now. Planned obsolescence they call it. Makes your old boots lasting this long seem like a weird flex.
