Read a comment from a park ranger about tent stake science

They said 6 inch stakes work way better than 8 inch in sandy soil because they don't wiggle as much when the wind picks up. Now I'm wondering if I should swap out my whole stake collection before my trip to Assateague next month.

Get where you're coming from @umac71, sometimes it's just not worth the headache over something that small.
