Swore off waterproof hiking boots, but a muddy trail proved me wrong

I used to think waterproof boots were just for winter, lol. But on a hike after some rain, my regular shoes got completely soaked. A buddy had extra waterproof ones and my feet stayed dry the whole time. Now I get why people swear by them for muddy trails.

The brand was Muck Boot. Not only stayed dry, they were actually comfortable for a full day of work in the wet stuff. Might have to get a pair for myself now.
