DAE think adding more seam sealer was just a sales pitch?

I always thought putting extra seam sealer on carpets was just a way to sell more product, you know? But last month, I did a job in a basement that gets damp, and the seams I sealed heavy are still perfect. The ones I did light on another job last year started to fray after a few months. It hit me that moisture really does sneak in there. Now I don't cut corners with it, even on dry rooms. It's one of those things you learn the hard way, I guess.

That "sell more tubes" idea shows how we often skip good advice until problems prove it right.

Honestly? Still seems like a sales pitch to me. Most places don't get that wet. Your basement is a rare case. For normal rooms, light sealing is fine. They just want to sell more tubes. Learned that from years in the trade.
