Had to pick between a power stretcher and a knee kicker for a tricky curved staircase yesterday

I went with the power stretcher on that 45 degree turn and it saved me about two hours of fighting with wrinkles, but now I wonder if the knee kicker would have given me a cleaner edge along the wall - anyone else dealt with this kind of stair job?

Wait, knee kickers usually handle edges better on tricky curves don't they?
