Hot take: I chose a 5/8 inch nap pad for a high traffic office job and it was a huge mistake.
The customer in Tampa wanted a plush feel, so I went against my gut and used the thicker pad instead of my usual 3/8 inch for commercial spaces. After six months, the seams are already showing wear and the carpet looks wavy in spots. Anyone else had a pad choice totally backfire on a job?
