Hot take: skip the fancy seam tape and go with the cheap stuff
I blew $60 on that high-end heat-bond tape last month and it bubbled up on a bedroom install, then grabbed the $12 roll from the hardware store and it's held flat through three late nights of traffic.

My buddy runs a flooring crew and he told me the cheap stuff actually has more plasticizer in it, which lets it flex with the subfloor better than the rigid expensive tape. He's been using the budget rolls for years on commercial jobs with zero callbacks.

I read somewhere that the plasticizer can actually leach out over time with temp changes...
