Just finished a 1200 square foot job in one day with my nephew

It was a big open floor plan in a new build over in Springfield, and we got the whole thing stretched, seamed, and trimmed by 5 PM. My nephew, Jake, is finally getting the hang of the power stretcher and didn't fight it once. Anyone else have a good run with a helper lately?

How much did you pay the kid?

Actually, paying a kid for help can be a fair deal that teaches them real world value. It's not like they're doing the work for free, which feels a bit exploitative. A small payment respects their time and effort.

Wait, do you mean like giving them cash or like buying them something? Because my friend tried the cash thing with her neighbor's kid for mowing the lawn and it got weird. She paid him $10 and then his mom called her all upset saying she was teaching him wrong values or whatever. But the kid really wanted that money for a video game, so it's not like he was being forced. I guess it depends on the family though.
