Pro tip: I spent 8 years stretching carpet the wrong way
Last week I was doing a living room job in Austin and my buddy Tom stopped by to help. He watched me power stretch for a minute and just goes "Dude, you're supposed to pull from the center out, not the edge." I've been a carpet installer for over a decade and nobody ever told me that. Anyone else have that one basic thing you realized way too late?

My cousin in Colorado said she watched a YouTube video that changed how she lays vinyl plank flooring.

2 years ago I had a helper in Dallas who showed me I was using my knee kicker backwards the whole time. @iris_jones89 your cousin's lucky to have caught that vinyl plank tip early. Tbh I still get embarrassed thinking about all the extra work I did that first year.
