Spent 45 minutes wrestling with a seam roller that kept skipping on this textured carpet yesterday.
Turned out the wheel was caked with old adhesive from the last job I cleaned it off in two minutes after that and it worked perfect. Has anyone else had a tool act up for way too long before you realized it was just dirty?

Had a buddy spend an hour adjusting a saw blade before finding a wad of dried sap stuck to it.

Read somewhere that pine pitch will dissolve in hand sanitizer, never tried it myself but seems like it'd work way better than scraping at it with a knife. Buddy of mine swore by using WD-40 on gummed up tools, said it breaks down the sticky residue in minutes. Heard another guy say he just heats the blade up with a torch for a few seconds and the sap burns right off, but that sounds risky if you've got plastic handles nearby. What's your go-to trick for cleaning off tree sap?
