Switched from knee kicker to power stretcher on stairs after 8 years

I used to do all my stairs with just a knee kicker and it took forever to get the seams right. A buddy loaned me his power stretcher last month and I finished a full staircase in half the time with way less wear on my knees. Anyone else make the switch late and regret not doing it sooner?

Oh man, the knee savings alone makes it worth it, trust me. I put off getting one for years because I figured my knee kicker was "good enough" for small jobs. But once you feel how clean the seams come out with a power stretcher, it's hard to go back, especially on those tricky stair angles where a kicker just can't get the right tension.

Honestly, "tricky stair angles" is the part that got me. I've wrecked so much carpet trying to make a knee kicker work on stairs and ending up with wrinkles or loose spots. A power stretcher just handles that tension so much better, you can actually feel the difference in the final stretch. It's one of those tools where you don't realize how much you were struggling until you try the right one.
