Heard a podcast last year where a shop owner was saying the same thing @black.mark, how that last stretch is the difference between a job that lasts and one that turns into a headache. Stuck with me because it's such a simple thing but so many guys just blow it off.

My uncle's old shop in Toledo had a wall of shame photos for bad seams. Half of them were from guys who rushed that last stretch. The customer never calls about a good job, but they always call about a ripple over a seam two months later. It takes thirty seconds to do it right and saves a three hour callback. That corner-cutting habit is a hard one to break once it sets in.
