Cash buyer backed out after inspection, now seller wants my earnest money
Put an offer on a duplex in Tulsa last month, $185k cash, inspection came back with foundation cracks and knob and tube wiring. I pulled out within the 10 day window, but the seller is refusing to return my $5k earnest money unless I sign a release saying I won't post about the issues. I sent them my inspector's report and photos, still nothing. Has anyone else fought this kind of pushback from a seller when you're paying all cash? Should I just eat the loss or take them to small claims?

That release they want signed is basically hush money, which makes their refusal look real bad.
