Best Week Ever with My Old LEGO Castle Set

I dug out my 1990s LEGO castle from my parents' attic last Tuesday and spent the whole week rebuilding it with my nephew. Dude, that thing still clicks together perfectly and we ended up with a massive fortress that took up the whole kitchen table. Anyone else had a surprise comeback with an old toy that actually held up better than you remembered?

I read somewhere that those old LEGO bricks were made with a different type of plastic that actually lasts longer than the new ones. Makes sense, the castle I had from back then still feels solid.

Always thought new stuff was better because of tighter tolerances and whatnot, but that honestly makes a lot of sense lol. Might have to dig my old sets out of the attic now.
