Figured out a cheap fix for squeaky plastic hinges on old action figures

My old Transformers from the 80s had joints so squeaky I thought they'd snap. Tried WD-40 but it left a greasy mess and attracted dust after 2 days. Found a tip online to use a tiny drop of silicone lubricant from a bike shop. Put one drop on each hinge joint and worked it back and forth maybe 10 times. Been 3 months and they're smooth and quiet, no residue problems. Anyone else got a go-to lube for stubborn toy joints?

Grab some plain old white lithium grease from an auto parts store instead. It comes in a little tube and costs like 3 bucks. Squeeze a tiny dab on a toothpick and work it into the joint. It stays put, doesn't smell, and won't eat through plastic. I've used it on everything from G1 figures to old He-Man stuff with no issues. Way better than WD-40 because that stuff dries out and actually makes things worse over time. Just don't overdo it or you'll have grease seeping out everywhere.
