Finally got my old marble maze out of storage and it’s way smaller than I remembered

Right there with you on the "way smaller than I remembered" thing. I had the same shock when I pulled out my old wooden maze game, it felt like a massive project as a kid but now it barely covers my palm. What helped me was just giving it a quick run through to see if the ball still rolled smooth, and it actually brought back some good memories.

Try holding it the same way you did as a kid and see if your hands feel huge now.

Honestly, I kinda like that it's smaller now since it makes the challenge feel more precise than I remember.
