Found my old G.I. Joe figures in the attic

Pulled them out to show my nephew and realized the plastic feels way flimsier than I remembered. The 1985 Snake Eyes still holds up though. Anyone else find older toys are built better than the new stuff?

Totally feel you on that. My nephew got some action figures last Christmas and the plastic felt almost hollow, nothing like the solid stuff we had. The old Snake Eyes is a tank compared to the new ones.

Old Snake Eyes is a tank" is exactly right. The plastic back then was like a brick, you could drop those figures off a bunk bed and they'd barely scratch. Now it's like they're using the same stuff they put in disposable water bottles. I still have my original Storm Shadow from like 85, and his rubber bands are shot but the plastic itself is still completely solid. No way the new ones hold up for forty years.
