Found my old stomp rocket in my parent's garage last month and launched it straight into a neighbors window
I was just messing around in the backyard after digging it out of a dusty box, aimed at the sky, and that thing took a hard left turn right into Mrs. Patterson's kitchen window on Maple Drive - shattered it clean, cost me 40 bucks to replace the pane, but honestly watching that rocket fly again was still worth it even with the repair bill, has anyone else had a childhood toy come back to haunt them like that?

Wow, did you check if it had any sort of warranty left on it?

I remember my friend Deb bought a used fridge and it died after two months... turned out the previous owner had registered it for a new extended warranty but never passed the papers on.

Hold your horses here. That story sounds pretty unusual and honestly, I have a hard time believing the previous owner pulled something that sneaky. Most people selling a used fridge are just trying to get rid of it quickly, not plotting some warranty scam. Also, your friend Deb probably should have checked the warranty status herself before buying it. A lot of big box stores and even Craigslist sellers will tell you if there's any coverage left if you just ask. And if it died after two months, there's a good chance it was just plain bad luck or a pre-existing problem the seller didn't know about, not some hidden conspiracy.
