Hot take: my old Lite-Brite beat the fancy light up tablet my kid got for Christmas
My son got one of those light up drawing tablets for Christmas and he played with it for about 2 days. Meanwhile I dug my old Lite-Brite out of a box at my mom's place in Ohio and we spent a whole Sunday making a rocket ship with those little pegs. The tablet does everything for you, it has preset pictures and sounds and it just kind of plays itself. The Lite-Brite made us pick colors and count holes and argue about where the red peg goes. I think that struggle is the fun part and the tablet skipped it. Has anyone else noticed their kids drop the high tech toys way faster than the simple ones?
