Legos vs. Mega Bloks: which one actually holds up better after 20 years?
I was digging through my parents' attic last weekend and found my old bucket of Legos from the 90s next to a box of Mega Bloks I got for Christmas one year. The Legos still click together tight like they're brand new, but the Mega Bloks are loose and a couple have cracks in the plastic. My buddy Mike swears Mega Bloks are fine if you store them right, but I'm not buying it after seeing mine fall apart. Anyone else notice a difference in how these two brands age over time? Which one do you think is worth passing down to the next generation?

Hold up, did you have those old school Mega Bloks with the hollow studs or the solid ones? I swear the first generation from the late 90s is way worse than the stuff they put out around 2005. My buddy's kid has some newer sets and they actually feel pretty decent, but my old ones from the dragon sets are basically worthless now. The Legos from the same era still lock together like you said, no question there. What year are your Mega Bloks from exactly?

Nah @casey843 I gotta disagree on the 2005 stuff being better. My 2001 dragon bloks are actually the ones with solid studs and they still hold up okay for building towers and stuff. The hollow stud ones from the late 90s are the real duds, thats probably why you think theyre worse.
