Rediscovering my old K'Nex set changed my whole view on those building toys

I found my 2003 K'Nex roller coaster set in my folks' basement last month and figured I'd sell it. Instead I spent a Saturday rebuilding the whole thing, and honestly the click of those rods and connectors still hits different. It took me about 4 hours but it held up way better than I expected, no cracked pieces or anything. My nephew saw it and now wants one, so we're planning to build a smaller set together next weekend. Anyone else dug up an old construction toy and found it more fun than the current stuff?
