Showerthought: saw a Lite-Brite in a Target clearance bin and just stood there for 5 minutes
I was at the Target on Elston Ave in Chicago last weekend and spotted a Lite-Brite marked down to $12.99, and it hit me that this was the exact toy I begged for in 1987. The weird part is my old one had those thick black paper sheets and tiny pegs that hurt your fingers, but this new one uses flat plastic tiles that snap in way easier. I get why they changed it, safety and all, but part of the fun was stabbing those little colored pegs into the wrong holes and ruining the whole design. Did anyone else have the old peg version, and would you buy the new one or does it feel like cheating?
