Why does nobody talk about how squeaky the original Easy Bake Oven actually was

I was cleaning out my mom's attic last weekend and found my old Easy Bake Oven from 1995, so I decided to try baking those little cake mixes again for fun. The thing squeaked so loud every time I opened the little oven door that my cat bolted out of the room, and the cakes came out like hockey pucks after 20 minutes. Has anyone else tried using one of these as an adult and realized they were way more annoying than you remembered?

Oh man, the squeak is real. It's like a dying mouse every time you open the door.

Man, tell me about it @kaip11... I tried fixing mine with some WD-40 but I think I just made it mad. Now it squeaks AND has this weird wet smell when I open it. My neighbors probably think I run a mouse sanctuary out of my garage or something...
