Just swapped my old plastic containers for glass jars and it cut my grocery bill by 15 bucks a week
I used to buy those disposable plastic containers for meal prep, like 30 packs from the store every month. About three months ago I switched to repurposing glass pasta sauce jars and pickle jars. I wash them out, run them through the dishwasher, and use them for storing leftovers and bulk dry goods. Turns out glass keeps food fresh way longer, so I'm tossing less moldy fruit and stale crackers. Plus I stopped buying plastic wrap and ziplock bags almost entirely. The kicker was that I could actually see what's in the jar without opening it, so I stopped forgetting about that bag of lentils in the back. Anyone else find that switching one thing in the kitchen made a bigger dent than expected?
