Our neighborhood compost bins got stolen off the curb last Tuesday

We set out our new compost bins from the city program on the curb for pickup day, and by noon someone had loaded all 14 of them into a truck. The program coordinator in Austin said replacement bins are $25 each and they only had 6 in stock. I ended up driving 40 minutes to the waste facility to grab what was left, and now our whole block is short. Has anyone else had their community compost setup targeted like this, or are we just unlucky?

I used to blow my driveway and sidewalk every Sunday with a gas blower, probably 20 minutes of fumes and noise.
