Blew $150 on a bamboo toothbrush subscription before realizing plastic ones work fine

I signed up for this eco-friendly subscription service six months ago. Paid $25 a month for compostable toothbrushes that were supposed to save the planet. After three months, the bristles were falling out and the handles got moldy in my bathroom cup. I'm back to a regular $3 plastic brush from the drugstore. Anyone else fall for a green product that just didn't hold up?

My buddy Mike dropped $60 on some fancy "bamboo straws" and a cleaning kit. First week they got all fuzzy and started splintering in his iced coffee. He tried soaking them in vinegar like the instructions said, but they just smelled like a salad. Ended up tossing the whole box and grabbing a pack of plastic ones from the dollar store.

My silicone straws lasted years and cost like $8 on Amazon. Never got weird on me.
