Ditched my full EV for a hybrid after one brutal winter road trip

I drove my electric truck from Portland to Bend last January for a job. The cold cut the range by 40 percent and I spent two hours hunting for a charger that actually worked. That trip made me realize my "all in on electric" attitude was hurting more than helping when I'm hauling gear across rural Oregon. I still think EVs are the future, but for my work and my wallet, a hybrid makes way more sense right now. Anyone else flip their stance after a real-world test, or am I the only one who got humbled by a charging map?

“Cold cut the range by 40 percent” hits hard. I read a study that said most EV owners in cold states end up switching to hybrids within two years for exactly this reason. Charging infrastructure is fine if you stick to cities, but out in rural areas it's basically a gamble every time.
