Finally saw my bus commute versus driving in actual numbers
Tracked both for 6 months and the $40 monthly bus pass beat my $180 gas habit by a huge margin, plus I read three books. How's public transit where you are for cutting back on car trips?

It's a mixed bag, mark_smith59. The routes are fine if you live near a main road, but the schedule is more of a loose suggestion. I've just learned to bring a book and accept the wait.
