Hit 2,000 miles on my ebike commute to the office in Council Bluffs
I started tracking my bike commute miles in a little notebook back in January of 2023 and hit 2,000 total miles on Tuesday. If I drive my truck instead, that same stretch of road burns about 90 gallons of gas, which would have cost me roughly $270 at current prices. What got me is the repair side, since I've only put $60 into the bike so far, one new chain and a set of brake pads. Anyone else keep a running total like this, and does the number ever actually change how you plan your week?

The $60 repair number is what flipped me, figured bikes cost more to keep up.
