My dad said he'd never seen a wildfire smoke haze in Milwaukee growing up, and that stuck with me
We were sitting on his back porch last month and he pointed at the sky, all milky and orange from the Canadian fires, and said in the 70s he never once saw anything like it there. He's 68 and has lived in the same house since 1985, so he's not exaggerating. I always thought of climate stuff as far away, but hearing it tied to one street I know made it feel close. Anyone else have a family member drop a detail like that and it just sits with you?
