My old commute was a 45 minute drive each way, every single day.

I did that for years, burning gas and just sitting there. About eight months ago, I finally switched to a hybrid schedule and got an e-bike for the days I go in. Now my ride is 20 minutes of fresh air, and I save about $80 a month on gas (which is nice). It took a push from seeing my car's carbon footprint estimate to actually make the change. Anyone else find a small switch that cut their driving way down?

I used to think rain was just part of the deal too, but a cheap dry bag changed my whole outlook.

Yeah, a good waterproof bag fixed that for me too, @cole_patel41.

My old boss tried the e-bike thing for a month last spring. He got caught in the rain three times and his laptop bag was never the same. He went right back to his truck, said the time sitting in traffic was worth the dry, reliable commute.
