Our new compost bins have me rethinking food waste
I used to toss a lot of scraps, but now I'm separating them for compost. Any tips on making this a habit for a busy household?

Trash and compost definitely don't go to the "same place" unless your landfill is secretly a magical soil factory. One turns into dirt, the other just sits there for centuries. But sure, call it extra work while the rest of us save the planet one banana peel at a time.

My compost bin is basically a science experiment I'm too scared to open. I just hope the dirt fairies are doing their job.

Honestly, that sounds like a lot of extra work for not much payoff... my trash goes to the same place either way.
