Am I the only one who remembers when a 'site survey' meant a guy with a clipboard and a tape measure?

I keep seeing crews still trying to eyeball grade with string lines, but the laser scanners we used on the Phoenix job last year caught a 2-inch slope error in ten minutes. How many of you have made the switch from the old ways?
