Had a chat with a structural engineer at a jobsite diner and it wrecked my whole workflow
He told me I was overthinking my BIM model by adding every single tiny bolt and bracket when the framers just eyeball it anyway. Said I wasted 40 hours a month on details that get ignored. Has anyone else scaled back their model LOD and actually seen better coordination?

Switched to LOD 300 for framing and coordination actually got easier not harder.

3 years of doing this and I still haven't seen the payoff from LOD 300 that everyone promises lmao. Mostly just more clicks and more model headaches from what I can tell.
