I was marking up paper plans for weeks before a super pointed out the obvious
We were doing a tenant fit-out in a downtown office building, and I was printing out the floor plan PDFs every morning. The project super saw me with a red pen circling changes and said, 'Why aren't you using the markup tool in the plan viewing app?' I had the app on my tablet the whole time but never clicked that icon. It lets you draw right on the digital file and share it instantly. Has anyone else had a 'duh' moment with basic software features?

My last job had me printing weekly reports for months before someone showed me the auto-email feature.

Oh man, that reminds me of the time I spent a whole summer manually copying data between spreadsheets. My boss would send the main file, and I'd open it and type the numbers into our team sheet, line by line. Felt like a robot. Then a new guy joined and just linked the cells with a simple formula. I wanted to melt into my chair.

That's the worst feeling. Happens to me all the time with the comment feature in docs. You get so stuck in your old way of doing things that you miss the simple fix right in front of you. The super probably had a good laugh about that one later.
