Just found out my office runs 30 software subscriptions we never use
I was going through our monthly expenses last week and noticed a charge for some project management tool I never heard of. Dug deeper and found 30 active subscriptions across our construction firm that nobody even knew about. Stuff like a drone mapping platform we bought for one job two years ago and never cancelled. Total waste is around $4,200 a month, maybe more if I missed some. I guess our foremen and supers just sign up for whatever they need and it never gets shut off. Has anyone else dealt with this kind of software sprawl at their company?

Bringing up the fact that this is almost definitely a tax write-off nightmare. You're paying $4,200 a month for stuff you didn't use, which means your accountant is probably missing out on deductions for cancelled subscriptions. I'd bet your foremen signed up with their personal email or a shared login, so nobody knows who owns what. Might be worth a quick audit with your tax person before you start cancelling everything.

Shared login" got me. A buddy of mine found out his crew was all using the same account for a project management tool. Was a total mess trying to figure out who actually needed it. Ended up just starting from scratch and eating the loss.
