My $400 'smart' level that kept telling me the floor was a hill
Bought a ProGrade Connect digital level for a foundation job in Springfield, thinking it would save me time. The thing kept giving me a 2-degree slope reading on a slab we'd just poured and screeded flat, so we spent half a day checking everything with a laser and old trusty bubble levels. Turns out the calibration was fried right out of the box. Anyone know a digital level brand that actually holds up on site?

Anyone else blow two days rechecking a slab before realizing it, @hollyramirez? I stick with old bubble levels now.

ProGrade" sounds like a cruel joke.

Oh man, @hollyramirez, you hit the nail on the head. What exactly makes it feel like a joke? Is it the price for what you get, or the way they talk about it like it's some huge leap forward when it's not?
